Many of the duelists are well known about these names : Liu Bei, Cao Cao, or Lu Bu. A name from an old age from China and lived in the era of Three Kingdoms. And appear in the famous game such Legend of Three Kingdom or Dynasty Warriors. 

Ancient Warriors is an archetype, which their monsters' named based on the heroes of Three Kingdom of China. Make their first debut in Ignition Assault (IGAS), their effect and playstyle seems to be another second-to-go deck. Such as Ancient Warriors - Chief Cao De that triggers when opponent's monster is destroyed, Ancient Warriors - Loyal Guan Yun that requires opponnet's to control more monsters. Only some cards like Ancient Warriors - Masterful Sun Mou or Ancient Warriors - General Zhou Gong have first-turn effect. 

The decklist below shows that Ancient Warriors can be played at the first turn. The strategy is delay and stops the opponent play using some floodgates like Crackdown, Solemn Judgment, Infinite Impermenance and A Draconian Prison of Snow and Sky. Traptrick helps to search for Draconian or Impermenance in case they are not in your hand at the times needed. Also it can helps to search for another Trap Cards, in this build, like Waking the Dragon or Dimensional Barriers. 

The best strategy is to have Sun Mou and Ancient Warriors Saga - Defense of Changban in the first turn. Using Sun Mou's effect by sending Changban to the Graveyard and add either Ancient Warriors - Herald Zhang Yuan or Ancient Warriors - Ingenious Zhuge Kong. When your opponent attacks, use Changban's effect by banishing it from the Graveyard and summons Cao De, so Sun Mou cannot be attacked. Best to combo it with Staunch Defender and targeting Cao De, And if your opponent's monster ATK is higher, Zhang Yuan can helps by reducing it.
