Grabbing the perfect wins, duelist Randi sealed the 1st position at Palembang Duelist Community tournament which was held on September 19, 2021.

It's been a long time since we've seen Merlantean, a WATER themed deck that's become one of the strongest deck in the YuGiOh! metagame- followed by Nekroz afterward. But as time goes by and many better decks arises, Merlantean seems to be forgotten even though it has been supported by new WATER cards which of course can helps this deck to shine.

For example, the latest support from Deep Sea is the Deep Sea Minstrel which can peek at the opponent's card and banish one of them, by discarding the card along with 1 other WATER Monster Card and. If the player discards the Atlantean Monster Card as the activation costs, the ability of the Atlantean Monster Card will be active because it enters the Graveyard to activate the WATER Monster Card's ability . Giving two advantages: seeing the opponent's hand and eliminating one of his cards until the End Phase, and the advantage of the Atlantean Monster Card effect itself. And with Deep Sea Aria, Merlantean users don't have to struggle to find the Monster Card WATER card needed for combos. Even though it's a bit of a wait because it takes 1 WATER Monster Card to be banished in activating Aria's Deep Sea ability.
